Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville had a spectacular Saturday night, letting loose at an indie rock concert by The Reytons at Manchester's Aviva studio. Taking the stage as the band's bass guitarist, he certainly made an impact, reports the Daily Mail.

The ex-footballer stepped up to perform the song Low Life, pretending to play the bass guitar. It seemed that Neville had a fantastic time during the show, before heading to the studio for his duties at the Manchester United vs. Arsenal match.

It's worth noting that while many fans were surprised by this performance, it was planned well in advance. Neville's appearance was announced as early as last September during the band's Right Back At It UK tour.

Back then, The Reytons' real bassist, Lee Holland, was seen with a bandaged hand. Subsequently, a fake interview with Neville was posted on the band's social media, where Gary was asked if he played the bass guitar. He admitted he had never played the bass in his life, to which vocalist Jonny Yerrell declared that Gary was now part of the act, thus inviting Neville to "perform" with the band.
