Legendary Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has refuted rumors of a potential move to Al-Nassr.

The Spaniard declined an offer of £500,000 per week. According to The Sun, the goalkeeper turned down the proposal due to his wife, Spanish singer and actress Edurne, not being keen on relocating to Saudi Arabia.

Instead, the 33-year-old player is reportedly interested in collaborating with Messi at Inter Miami, where his former Spanish national teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba are also part of the team.

De Gea has been without a club since the end of last season when his contract with Manchester United expired. Once considered the best goalkeeper in the world, the Spaniard is working hard to secure a new club after a recent decline in performance. A move to Valencia in La Liga is another option, but their finances might not align with the figures desired by both parties.

There were also speculations about De Gea returning to Old Trafford. Manchester United might face a void for Andre Onana in January if the Cameroonian is called up for the African Cup of Nations. With the inexperienced Alty Bayındır and veteran Tom Heaton on the bench, Eric ten Hag might attempt to bring De Gea back on a short-term contract.

De Gea maintains connections with his former club. Last month, he visited Manchester to spend time with Bruno Fernandes and Sergio Reguilón. While his next destination remains under discussion, a reunion with Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia appears unlikely.
