Manchester United leader clashes fiercely with Liverpool legend

Manchester United's star midfielder Casemiro has fired back at Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher after receiving sharp criticism.

Details: The former Liverpool defender had previously gone live on air and advised the Brazilian to retire before football leaves him behind, hinting at a decline in the veteran’s form. Casemiro’s response in an interview with the Daily Mirror was equally hard-hitting, reopening old wounds for the Merseyside legend.

The Brazilian stated that pundits are free to say whatever they like on television, but he senses a personal motive in Carragher’s remarks.

“That’s perfectly normal, since I won two Champions League titles against his club,” Casemiro remarked with irony.

According to the midfielder, the bitterness from those finals still clouds Carragher’s objectivity when evaluating his performances.

It’s worth noting that this season, the Brazilian midfielder has played 34 matches for the Red Devils across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 2 assists.

Reminder: Manchester United and PSG are set to battle for an African talent, with the transfer fee totaling €30 million.
