Manchester United interested in Leipzig defender Lukeba but will have to pay big money

Manchester United remain interested in RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba, according to Sport Bild.

Details. The 22-year-old has become a key figure in Leipzig's defense, with United’s scouting team closely monitoring his progress.

According to the report, Lukeba's contract includes a £75 million release clause, and his entourage is preparing for a major transfer. This means that if United want to secure his services, they will have to pay a significant fee.

This season, Castello has played 18 matches for Die Roten Bullen, and his current contract with the German club runs until June 30, 2029. The promising player cost the Bulls €30 millions.

Reminder. It was previously reported that Manchester United are also considering a move for Wolves’ top scorer Matheus Cunha.
