Manchester United has elected to prematurely terminate the loan agreement of the wingback Reguilon, as reported by The Athletic.

According to sources, following the recovery of two players, Luke Shaw and Malacia, the Manchester United leadership has resolved to conclude Sergio Reguilon's loan. Additionally, the "Red Devils" now have fewer fixtures on their calendar, having exited European competitions and the EFL Cup.

It's worth recalling that the Spanish footballer made the switch from Tottenham to Manchester United in September on a season-long loan. Throughout this period, Reguilon participated in 12 matches across all tournaments, yet failed to register any goal contributions.

In September 2020, Sergio Reguilon, alongside his teammate Gareth Bale, transferred to Tottenham Hotspur, signing a five-year contract. The transfer fee amounted to £27.5 million. On September 29, the Spaniard made his debut for the "Spurs" in a home match against Chelsea in the fourth round of the League Cup.
