Manchester United is actively pursuing the ambitious project of building a new stadium with a capacity of 100,000 spectators. Although the realization of this vision is still a long way off, plans are already being made for how to utilize the arena on an international scale.

Details: One of the club's stadium construction advisors, Lord Sebastian Coe, stated that the new Manchester United stadium could host matches of the 2035 Women's World Cup.

Quote: "Working alongside Trafford Council and the mayor, we see tremendous potential to create new homes and jobs in the Manchester United stadium area. Looking to the future, I can envision hosting the Women's World Cup final at the new Old Trafford stadium in 2035. The tournament would be hosted by the nations of the United Kingdom—an exceptional opportunity to welcome the global football family," Coe said, as quoted by The Athletic.
