Manchester United defensive leader wants to leave Manchester United defensive leader wants to leave

Reporter Florian Plettenberg reported on social media X that defender Raphael Varane wants to leave Manchester United.

According to an insider, the transfer could take place during the January transfer window.

He noted that at the moment the German “Bavaria” is really interested in the services of the 30-year-old Frenchman.

At the same time, the Red Devils are ready to sell their leader, but want to get about 20-30 million euros for him.

Previously, the media wrote that Varane should leave Manchester United next summer, but team coach Erik ten Hag wants to maintain the stability of the team and ensure that they reach the top four.

Varane joined United from Real Madrid in 2021 for €40 million. His agreement runs until 2025. Transfermarkt values him at 35 million euros.

This season, the Frenchman played 12 matches for the Red Devils and scored one goal. He is still a France international and took part in the last World Cup in 2022.
