Manchester United announces further job cuts of 150-200 positions
Manchester United’s co-owners, INEOS, continue their internal restructuring at the club. Today, United announced another round of significant changes.
Details: In an effort to reduce costs, the club has announced additional staff reductions.
"Manchester United intends to transform its corporate structure as part of a series of additional measures aimed at improving the club’s financial sustainability and operational efficiency.
The transformation plan is designed to restore the club’s profitability after five consecutive years of financial losses since 2019. This will create a stronger financial platform, allowing the club to invest in the success of both the men's and women's teams as well as infrastructure improvements.
As part of these measures, the club anticipates that approximately 150-200 jobs may be cut, following consultations with employees. This will be in addition to the 250 positions eliminated last year," the club stated.
Reminder: Earlier, the controversial Joey Barton called Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim a fraud.
