Manchester United and Atletico have set their sights on a key defender from the sensational Bologna

Bologna's central defender, Jhon Lucumi, has attracted the attention of several big clubs with his performances this season.

According to TMW, representatives from the Premier League and La Liga are interested in the Colombian center-back. Specifically, Manchester United and Atlético Madrid have made inquiries about the player and have added him to their shortlists for the upcoming transfer window.

It is noted that Atlético is interested in finding a replacement for Mario Hermoso, who is set to leave when his contract expires in a few months, while Manchester United is looking to strengthen almost every position.

Lucumi, who joined Bologna from Belgian side Genk in the summer of 2022, is valued at around €20 million by decision-makers at the Rossoblu. His contract with the club runs until June 2026.

In the current season, the 25-year-old Colombian has played 22 matches in all competitions without contributing any goals or assists.
