Manchester United agree personal contract terms with Everton defender
Manchester United has reached an agreement on personal terms with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
According to The Times, the defender will earn between £150,000 and £160,000 per week at United.
However, to complete the transfer to the Red Devils, they must negotiate the transfer fee with Everton. Preliminary information suggests that the Toffees plan to fetch £70 million for the sale of the 21-year-old footballer, which is a considerable sum for United.
At Old Trafford, there's a shift in transfer approach, and they are not willing to overpay for players, as they have done several times in the past.
In the previous season, Jarrad made 41 appearances for Everton across all competitions, scoring three goals. The defender made his debut for the England national team in June but did not make the final squad for Euro 2024.
Much speculation surrounded the potential departure of Manchester United's head coach Erik ten Hag this summer, but the latest reports assure us that the Dutchman will remain at Old Trafford.
