The competition between the two main clubs in Manchester, namely City and United, will soon unfold not only on the football pitch, but also in the fight for a young prodigy.

According to CaughtOffside, both clubs from Manchester are keeping tabs on 19-year-old Benfica midfielder Joao Neves. However, the Portuguese club will not make it easy for the English giants to sign the player and will demand to pay a clause of 120 million euros for the centre-back, which is spelt out in his contract.

Saudi clubs are also reportedly interested in the player, although there have been no offers so far. It is also currently unclear whether Manchester clubs can afford the player at this price.

Neves has already played in 41 Benfica matches this season, in which he scored two goals and two assists. Transfermarkt values the player at 45 million euros.
