Manchester City missed a victory against Crystal Palace, while Chelsea dealt with Sheffield

In the 17th round of the English Premier League, three matches have already concluded today.

At Stamford Bridge, London's Chelsea hosted Sheffield United, who have had a challenging start to the season. The "Blues" took the initiative from the start, but both their goals came only in the early second half. Goals from Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson secured Chelsea's win.

Newcastle had the chance to break their run of poor form against Fulham, who scored 10 goals in their last two matches. The visitors were reduced to ten men in the middle of the first half as Raúl Jiménez received a red card for a harsh foul. With an extra player advantage, Newcastle confidently secured victory. Worth noting was the first Premier League goal from 17-year-old Lewis Mailly.
