Manchester City identify Newcastle's Livramento as Walker replacement

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has publicly made it clear that he no longer counts on the experienced defender Kyle Walker, and now needs to find a replacement. That replacement may be found not far down the league table.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle defender Tino Livramento remains the top candidate to strengthen Manchester City's right-back position. However, with the Magpies reluctant to part ways with their player, the deal is looking far from straightforward.
Previously, it was reported that Newcastle were "adamant" Livramento would not leave, and the club is confident it can "keep hold of" the 22-year-old both this summer and for the foreseeable future.
Reminder: Walker is currently on loan at Milan, but there is still no clear information on whether he will stay with the Rossoneri. However, it now seems highly unlikely that the defender will continue his career at Manchester City.
