Manchester City Could Sign Ayyoub Bouaddi and Loan Him Back to Lille
Manchester City have reportedly joined the race to sign Morocco international Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the Premier League champions exploring a deal that would see the midfielder return to Lille on loan for the 2026/27 season.
According to The Athletic, the Premier League champions have made contact with Bouaddi's representatives as they monitor the 18-year-old's situation. The youngster has emerged as one of the standout talents at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, playing a key role in Morocco's run to the Round of 16, where the Atlas Lions are set to face co-hosts Canada.
Manchester City are not alone in the race for the Lille midfielder. Several top European clubs are keeping a close eye on Bouaddi, while Real Madrid have also been linked with a potential move.
Lille are reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €75–80 million plus add-ons for the teenage sensation. However, the French club are keen for Bouaddi to remain with them on loan for another season to continue his development, a condition that City are said to be open to accepting.
