Manchester City and Manchester United repeated an interesting achievement in the FA Cup
The fierce rivals Manchester City and Manchester United will face each other in the final of the FA Cup.
The "Cityzens" defeated Chelsea yesterday (1:0), while the "Red Devils" narrowly avoided embarrassment in their match against Coventry, surrendering a three-goal lead late in regular time. However, Erik ten Hag's team secured their place in the decisive match via a penalty shootout.
Interestingly, City and United will contest the final of the oldest English trophy for the second year in a row. This has only happened once before in the tournament's history: during the 1883/84 and 1884/85 seasons, the trophy was contested consecutively by Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers.
Recall that in 2023, Manchester City defeated their arch-rivals by a score of 2:1.
This year, United and City will meet at London's Wembley Stadium on May 25th.
