Man United's young star has postponed talks over a new contract

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has dramatically broken into the main squad of the Red Devils, who would like to keep the player in their ranks with a new contract. But so far, things are not working out so easily.
Mainoo is in principle not against signing a new deal, but according to the Daily Star, the 19-year-old has postponed negotiations for now and wants to return to them after the European Championships.
The young Manchester United star has been included in Gareth Southgate's provisional selection for Euro 2024, but Mainoo is expected to be left out of the final England squad bid.
Under the new contract, Mancunian bosses want to increase the 19-year-old midfielder's salary fourfold and the player's new wages will be £80,000 a week. Meinu only signed the deal in February 2023, which is valid until July 2027.
Last season Mainoo played 32 games for Manchester United, in which he scored 5 goals and gave one assist.
