Man United will be pointing one player at the door with the signing of de Ligt

Manchester United intend to work hard on their defence in the summer transfer window. Bayern defender Matthijs de Ligt already has one foot at Old Trafford, which could prompt the Mancunians to bid farewell to an existing player.
It is believed that Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag will build the centre of defence around his compatriot and Lisandro Martínez next season, which, according to the Daily Mirror, will leave Harry Maguire out of the squad.
Therefore, Old Trafford are considering selling the 31-year-old defender while they can still make money from him. The possibility of Maguire being involved in a deal for Everton defender Jarrad Brathwaite is not ruled out.
West Ham were previously interested in the defender, but after signing Wolverhampton captain Max Kilman, the Hammers are no longer considering Maguire.
