Man United legend Ryan Giggs shuts down restaurant without warning staff
Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs has abruptly closed his Manchester-based restaurant, George's Dining Room and Bar, without informing its employees in advance, reports Manchester Evening News.
The closure came as a shock to staff, who were reportedly notified via text messages. Meanwhile, a notice posted on the restaurant's entrance cited "unforeseen circumstances" as the reason for shutting down.
"It came totally out of the blue, we were all supposed to be working today and then we got the text messages through. We are all stunned," one of the restaurant's employees told Manchester Evening News.
The sudden closure is believed to be linked to financial difficulties and rising business costs.
Giggs opened the restaurant in 2014 alongside his childhood friends Kelvin Gregory and Bernie Taylor. Over the years, it had become a popular dining spot among locals.
