Man United is interested in signing another defender

Former Atlético Madrid defender Mario Hermoso has unexpectedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester United. The player left the Madrid club at the beginning of the summer after his contract expired and has already turned down offers from the Saudi Pro League.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has recently shown interest and made an offer to the player. The "Red Devils" are looking to strengthen their defense following recent departures and injuries, and Hermoso is available as a versatile option.

Nussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich remains the primary candidate for the defender position at United, but Hermoso’s ability to play in various defensive roles makes him an attractive option, allowing the club to allocate funds for other targets.

If the offer from the English club is accepted, Hermoso is expected to sign a two-year contract with Manchester United.
