Manchester United had recently been mentioned among the suitors for Bayer defender Jonathan Tah, but in the end, the player won't be heading to Old Trafford. Here's why.
Details: As former United scout Mick Brown revealed, the club turned down the German not due to transfer complications, but simply because he doesn't really fit into Ruben Amorim's style of play.
Quote: "Tah won't be a target for Man United. He's proven himself at Bayer and is highly rated; many clubs admire his profile. He's a strong leader and very experienced, so of course there is interest in him.
The problem for United is that he's a big, powerful, strong defender, and that's not the type they want for Amorim's team. His agent has mentioned his name more than once and has spoken with clubs all over Europe.
He's working on promoting him to clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern, so United will also be aware of his availability. But I don't see it happening—he'll move to one of the other clubs," he said in an interview with Football Insider.
Reminder: Earlier, the defender himself revealed when he plans to decide on his future after leaving Bayer.
