Following the defeat in the CAF Champions League final, Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso came under pressure. However, the club’s stance on his future has now been revealed.
Details: According to Soccer Laduma, Mamelodi Sundowns’ management is pleased with the progress the team has made under Cardoso. Despite the disappointment in the CAF Champions League final, the team’s impressive performance in the FIFA Club World Cup have strengthened his position in the eyes of the board.
As a result, the club will support him during the upcoming transfer window to give Sundowns another shot at winning the Champions League.
Reminder: Mamelodi Sundowns finished third in their FIFA Club World Cup group, following a win over Ulsan HD, a draw against Fluminense, and a thrilling match against Borussia Dortmund, in which the Brazilians were ultimately defeated.
