Mamelodi Sundowns could lose their team leader

The Sundowns' right-back may be on his way to Tunisia.
Details: According to the latest information from KickOff, Mamelodi Sundowns star Khuliso Mudau is in talks with Tunisian giants Espérance de Tunis.
The 30-year-old Mudau is currently with the team in the USA, where the "Brazilians" are competing in the FIFA Club World Cup. However, changes could be on the horizon for the player's career once the tournament concludes.
“According to North African outlet MN News, Espérance are negotiating with one of Sundowns' stars. The report states that the talks are being held confidentially, and the proposed deal is part of Espérance’s long-term strategy,” KickOff reports.
While the name of the potential new signing for the Tunisian powerhouse was not revealed, the article dropped clear hints pointing directly at Khuliso Mudau.
It’s worth noting that Espérance already features another Bafana Bafana player, Elias Mokwana, which could positively influence Mudau’s move.
In the 2024/25 season, Khuliso Mudau has made 34 appearances for Sundowns, including two recent matches at the Club World Cup against Ulsan HD and Borussia Dortmund. The defender’s contract expires on June 30, and with no news of a renewal, all signs point to Mudau’s imminent departure from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Reminder: New star! Mamelodi Sundowns are scouting a young Tanzanian talent
