Mamardashvili's incredible performance prevented the Czechs from defeating Georgia

The latest match day at Euro 2024 opened with Georgia and Czech Republic facing off in the second round of group stage matches in Hamburg.
Right from the start, the Czechs took control of the ball and threatened Mamardashvili's goal. Players like Bayer's Gloszek and Schick posed the most threat, but they couldn't find the back of the net. Georgia, however, managed to surprise just before halftime. Granacha's handball in the Czech goal area led to a penalty, confidently converted by Mikautadze.
After the break, the Czechs continued to press, and eventually Schick scored from a corner kick. Despite the Czech Republic's overwhelming dominance, Georgia held on thanks to Mamardashvili's superb performance and secured a historic draw in the European Championships. The Czechs, after this draw, find themselves in a more challenging position in the group standings, but still have chances to advance to the playoffs.
