Mamadou Sarr honoured by Chelsea

This is in recognition of his victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

Recently recalled from his loan spell at Strasbourg, Mamadou Sarr has been honoured by his club, Chelsea FC. On Thursday 5 February 2026, he received a commemorative frame containing a club shirt emblazoned with ‘AFCON CHAMPION’. The frame is surrounded by other miniature images of Sarr and the Senegal national team.

The image, shared on Chelsea's social media accounts, is accompanied by a congratulatory message. ‘Congratulations, Mamadou Sarr! African Cup of Nations champion with Senegal.’

This is an honour for the 20-year-old Senegalese international defender who won the 2025 African Cup of Nations with the Lions of Teranga on 18 January.
