Abdoulaye Doucouré could continue his career in the United States. Having spent his career in Europe since his debut before moving to Saudi Arabia in 2025, the former Everton midfielder could relaunch his career in Major League Soccer.
According to reports, Abdoulaye Doucouré is set to join Charlotte FC. A free agent since leaving NEOM SC this summer, the 33-year-old Malian midfielder is expected to sign a short-term contract with the MLS club.
Doucouré is said to have spent a week on trial with the club and is reported to have impressed. Should the transfer go ahead, the Malian midfielder would bring a wealth of experience to his new team. Abdoulaye Doucouré has played for Stade Rennais, Watford, Granada, Everton and, most recently, NEOM SC.
This experience would be a major asset for Charlotte FC. For Doucouré, it would mark a new chapter in his career.
