Appointed on 4 June, the Portuguese tactician will lead the Malian national team for the next three years.

The president of the Malian Football Federation, Baba Cisset, officially signed the contract for the Eagles’ new head coach on Monday 8 June. A three-year contract has been agreed with clearly defined objectives.

Over the next three years at the helm of the Mali national team’s coaching staff, Anthony Da Silva must qualify Mali for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations and reach the semi-finals during the tournament. The Portuguese coach must secure Mali’s qualification for the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations and reach the final. He must also qualify Mali for the FIFA World Cup 2030.
