Mali Appoint Anthony Da Silva as New Head Coach on Three-Year Deal
The Malian Football Federation has officially named Anthony Da Silva as the new head coach of the Mali, handing the Franco-Portuguese tactician a three-year contract to lead the Eagles into a new era.
Da Silva arrives with a clear set of objectives outlined by the federation, with qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations among his immediate priorities. Beyond securing a place at the continental tournament, he has also been tasked with guiding Mali to at least the semi-finals and steering the team toward qualification for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
To support his work, Da Silva will be assisted by a team of four assistant coaches. He is also expected to be permanently based in Bamako, allowing him to closely monitor the development of the national team and maintain regular contact with local football structures.
