The situation around Julián Álvarez has taken another dramatic turn.
Details: Julián Álvarez has returned to group training with Atlético Madrid. The Argentine forward was back working alongside his teammates on Sunday, marking an important change after several days in which he had been absent from collective sessions.
Álvarez did not feature in Atlético's LaLiga match away to Sevilla on Saturday. Before the game, Diego Simeone confirmed that the striker would not be involved after recently missing team training sessions.
Atlético eventually won 3-1 in Seville without the Argentine, but his return to the group immediately becomes one of the most important developments around Simeone's squad. For now, Álvarez is once again training normally with his teammates.
It is worth noting that Álvarez made 29 LaLiga appearances for Atlético Madrid in the 2025/26 season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
