Barcelona continue the redevelopment of their home stadium. Although several tiers and sections have already been reopened, the project is far from complete and further investment is needed.

Details: According to El Barça juga a RAC1, the Catalan club have already exceeded the originally planned budget for the reconstruction. Barça have surpassed the €960 million mark, and estimates suggest the final cost of the project will range between €1.1 billion and €1.2 billion.

Meanwhile, the Spanish refereeing committee has decided to suspend the VAR official who failed to award a foul on Jules Koundé. In addition, the referee involved in the match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad was also suspended after awarding a penalty for what was deemed a simulation by Vinícius Júnior.

Reminder: The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona remains intense not only on the pitch but off it as well. Once again, debate over refereeing standards has reignited.
