Mahazou Baba Cisset is the new president of the Malian Football Federation
He succeeds Mamoutou Toure
He was elected this Thursday 16 April following the extraordinary general election meeting of Femafoot.
A new era is dawning at the helm of the Malian Football Federation. Mahazou Baba Cisset takes the reins of the governing body, succeeding Mamoutou Toure.
As the sole candidate in the running, he was elected with 69 votes in favour, one against and two abstentions. The election, which took place this 16 April in Bamako, was supervised by representatives from FIFA, CAF and the WAFU-A.
Mahazou Baba Cisset is set to breathe new life into Malian football during his term of office, which runs until 2030.
