Madness! Galatasaray player Lucas Torreira assaulted by fan obsessed with his wife

The perpetrator will have to answer for his actions.

Details: According to Football Tweet, just recently on one of the streets of Istanbul, 30-year-old Uruguayan Galatasaray midfielder Lucas Torreira was punched in the face by a stranger who turned out to be a fan of his partner, Ipek B.

Reports say that while Torreira and Ipek were out for a walk, a man approached them. At first, Torreira thought he was simply a fan wanting to take a photo, but as the stranger got closer, Torreira was suddenly struck in the face and fell to the ground.

Police arrived quickly at the scene and detained the attacker. At the station, the assailant confessed that he had lost his composure because of Torreira's partner, Ipek B, with whom he had been communicating on social media. After she rejected him, he flew into a rage.

"I had platonic feelings for her, but she was upset with me, so she previously obtained a restraining order against me in court.

However, when I saw several photos of her with Lucas Torreira on Instagram, I started to feel hatred towards him.

Yesterday, after learning via Instagram that Torreira and his family were at the Rixos hotel, I took a taxi there in a fit of anger and, as soon as I saw him, punched him in the face." said the attacker.

It is also reported that Ipek B had previously secured a court order prohibiting the attacker from communicating with her. Torreira himself has yet to comment on the incident.
