Made Shearer and Lineker Laugh Out Loud: TV pundit Micah Richards shares an unusual job offer
Former England and Manchester City player Micah Richards had his fellow podcasters Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker in fits of laughter during an episode of The Rest is Football. Richards revealed he once received an incredibly unusual job offer.
The ex-footballer admitted he got an email asking if he’d consider becoming a male stripper. While Richards declined the offer, he still isn’t sure whether it was a prank or a genuine proposal.
“I got an email, I don’t know if it was banter or not, but they asked me if I wanted to get into male stripping!” Richards shared.
The revelation had Shearer and Lineker bursting into uncontrollable laughter. Lineker even joked that instead of Richards, they ended up hiring his former Manchester City teammate Pablo Zabaleta, which had Richards laughing just as hard.
Since retiring from football in 2019, Richards has carved out a successful career as a TV pundit, working for channels such as TNT Sports and CBS Sports.
