Madagascar Captain Rayan Raveloson: We Are Not Afraid of Nigeria

Madagascar captain Rayan Raveloson has insisted that the Barea are not intimidated by Nigeria ahead of their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

Madagascar will face the Super Eagles on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo as both sides begin their qualifying campaign for the 2027 AFCON tournament.

Speaking during the pre-match interview with a reporter in Uyo, Raveloson said Madagascar are ready to compete against Nigeria and have no reason to fear their opponents.

“It’s football. They are humans like us, so we are not scared,” Raveloson told reporters.
