French side Lyon has added Canadian striker Jonathan David to its shortlist of top transfer targets for the upcoming summer window.

Details: According to Tuttosport, the French club’s management sees the former Lille star as the ideal solution to strengthen their attacking line, especially considering his vast experience and proven track record in Ligue 1. The “Weavers” believe that returning to familiar territory could help the forward overcome the prolonged psychological slump he’s faced in Italy.

Negotiations are expected to be challenging due to Juventus’ rigid stance. The Italian giants are unwilling to make significant concessions, valuing David’s transfer between €25 and €30 million. For Lyon, this is a hefty price tag, which may require the club to offload other assets before making a move.

This season, David has played 38 matches for the Italian side, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists. Transfermarkt currently values him at €35 million.

Reminder: Former Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri commented on rumors linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
