The future of Luka Modric at Real Madrid still remains uncertain. The contract of the club's veteran is set to expire at the end of the current season, and there is no clarity yet regarding its extension. Furthermore, the midfielder is discontent with the limited playing time he has been receiving.

All these factors have prompted his hometown club, Dinamo Zagreb, to call Modric back. Earlier, there were reports that the Croatian club had already been in contact with their former player regarding this matter. However, Dinamo Zagreb does not intend to stop there, and importantly, they do not conceal their intentions to bring Modric back to the team.

Dinamo Zagreb, through their president Mirko Barisic, placed a photo of the club's jersey with the number ten and the surname of the Real Madrid legend on the third page of the prestigious Spanish publication, Marca. In this manner, the club seeks to demonstrate the seriousness of its intentions. Moreover, a video with this photo was published on the official Dynamo page on the social network X.

According to the latest rumors circulating, Real Madrid is prepared to extend Modric's contract for another year, which could dash Dinamo's hopes.

Luka Modric played for Dinamo Zagreb from 2001 to 2008 before moving to Tottenham Hotspur, and four years later, making the transition to Madrid.
