Loss of consciousness right on the pitch: Bayern reveal the cause of Jamal Musiala’s health issues
The Munich club has shed light on the concerning health situation of one of its leading players.
Details: Bayern sporting director Max Eberl provided an in-depth comment regarding the recent episodes of midfielder Jamal Musiala losing consciousness. According to Eberl, the club has been aware of the player's health condition throughout last season and has constantly kept the situation under control.
Eberl emphasized that Jamal himself decided to speak openly about his issue, and all his teammates were kept informed. The club highlighted the squad’s complete unity and their readiness to provide Musiala with comprehensive support in any circumstances.
The Bayern executive also explained the reason behind the recent fainting spells: the player made changes to his therapy and medication regimen, which triggered side effects. Currently, the medical staff is working to adjust his treatment plan to restore the player to a stable condition—a state in which such incidents had not occurred for a long period.
It is worth noting that in the 2025/26 season, Jamal Musiala played 24 matches for Bayern across all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists. According to Transfermarkt, the 23-year-old midfielder’s market value is estimated at 100 million euros.
