Lookman Signals Fresh Start as He Restores Atalanta Photos on Instagram

Ademola Lookman has restored photos of himself in an Atalanta shirt on Instagram, ending a brief social media blackout that raised questions about his future. The Nigerian forward recently brought back images in the club’s colours and reinstated his profile picture, after previously replacing it with a black dot and hiding all Atalanta-related posts.

The photos were never deleted but temporarily hidden. Their return appears to send a new message from Lookman as debates continue over his form and long-term plans. His move comes while interest from Galatasaray, as well as clubs in England and Spain, remains active.

Despite the attention around a possible transfer, the restored posts suggest a calmer relationship with Atalanta and its supporters. Lookman was a key performer last season, notably scoring a brace against Napoli, but he has struggled to replicate that form, with just one goal in ten appearances so far.

His situation was further complicated by a reported disagreement with former manager Ivan Juric during a Champions League match against Marseille. Juric has since been dismissed, with new coach Raffaele Palladino offering strong backing. Palladino described Lookman as “an important figure” and said efforts were made to rebuild their relationship.

With European clubs monitoring him ahead of January, Lookman is now focused on regaining top form for Atalanta and preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations.
