Lookman Shines as Atalanta Sweep Frankfurt in Champions League Win

Ademola Lookman delivered one of his best performances of the season on Wednesday night, scoring and assisting as Atalanta powered to a 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in their UEFA Champions League clash at the Deutsche Bank Park.

After a goalless first half, Lookman broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, firing in from close range after a precise cross from Charles De Ketelaere. The forward, who has struggled for consistency this season, made the most of the moment, giving Atalanta the spark they needed.

He later turned provider, setting up Éderson to make it 2-0, before De Ketelaere added a third to seal a convincing victory and send the away fans into loud celebration.

The result gives Atalanta a big push toward securing automatic qualification for the Round of 16. The Italian side now have 10 points from five matches, level with Sporting Lisbon, who also won on the night.

For Lookman, the goal ends a difficult spell, taking his tally to two in 12 appearances across all competitions. The Nigerian will hope the performance marks a turning point as Atalanta shift their focus back to Serie A action this weekend.
