Lookman Set for Atlético Switch in €40m Winter Deal

Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has chosen Atlético Madrid as his next club after weeks of transfer speculation. The Spanish giants have agreed a €40 million deal with Atalanta, made up of a €35 million fixed fee and €5 million in add-ons. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that all key terms are in place between both clubs and the player.

Lookman has accepted a long-term contract with Diego Simeone’s side, with Atlético now arranging “travel and medical next” before an official announcement.

The 28-year-old leaves Atalanta after a successful spell since 2022, playing a key role in their Europa League triumph. Interest from Fenerbahçe ends.
