Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has shared details of his private conversation with Carlo Ancelotti regarding Neymar's future with the national team.

Details: According to The Touchline, Ancelotti directly asked for his opinion on whether the forward should be called up to the squad. Lula's response was strictly pragmatic: Neymar's talent is undeniable, but his selection must depend solely on his physical condition and professional attitude.

Lula emphasized that Neymar needs to change his approach to his career if he wants to achieve success in the twilight of his football journey.

"He can take inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Neymar is still young, and the doors to the national team are open for him, but we need to know if he truly wants it himself. If he does, then he must act like a professional," the president declared.

The head of state made it clear that past glory and a big name are no longer automatic tickets to a place in the five-time world champions' squad.

Recall: Neymar clashed with a fan after a disastrous match.
