Egis Klimas, the manager of Ukrainian IBF and IBO lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KO), stated that his client is not yet ready to fight American WBA champion Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KO).

"Lomachenko is not in the right mindset; he lacks motivation. He wants to spend more time with his family and does not want to do anything until the end of the year.

Therefore, he will definitely not step into the ring before the end of the year. Lomachenko is not solely motivated by money. You could offer him millions, tens of millions of dollars – if he lacks motivation, he will not prepare for the fight," Klimas said.

Klimas also made it clear that Lomachenko has not retired. Previously, promoter Bob Arum mentioned that Klimas informed him about Lomachenko's visit to the USA to discuss a potential fight with Gervonta.
