Liverpool are already mapping out their plans for the summer of 2026, including preparations for the 2026/27 campaign. The Reds are set to take on the team owned by the Hollywood actor.
Details: According to The Athletic, the Merseyside club will travel to the United States this summer, with Wrexham among their opponents. They are also scheduled to face Leeds United and Sunderland. Notably, the clash against Reynolds’ side could be staged at the home of the New York Yankees.
Incidentally, after a 2–1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in Matchday 29 of the English Premier League, Liverpool set a record in a particularly unfortunate yet unique category.
Reminder: Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, who currently owns Welsh club Wrexham, is close to acquiring another team — Brazilian side Santa Cruz. Reports indicate that negotiations are at an advanced stage, and Reynolds is expected to officially assume ownership in the near future.
