Liverpool Targets Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye Left Out of PSG Squad Against Rennes
Liverpool targets Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye have been left out of Paris Saint-Germain’s squad for their Ligue 1 opener against Rennes, despite both players taking part in training on Saturday morning.
The decision has added to speculation surrounding the futures of the two attackers, with reports suggesting they could leave PSG before the summer transfer window closes.
According to RMC Sport and L’Équipe, negotiations over Barcola are progressing, while discussions concerning Mbaye are moving more slowly.
PSG are reportedly demanding between €70 million and €80 million for Mbaye, with the French champions reluctant to let the 18-year-old leave for a lower fee.
Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with the teenager but are not prepared to meet PSG’s valuation. The Reds are understood to value Mbaye closer to €50 million.
With both players missing from the squad against Rennes, their situations will be closely monitored.
