Liverpool reject Yoro transfer in summer 2024 due to his specific demands
Leny Yoro's demands have been the reason Liverpool have missed out on signing the Man United defender for £52m.
Manchester United defender Leny Yoro was on Liverpool's radar ahead of his move to Erik ten Hag's side, but the move to the Red Devils came after they made a £52m bid for the player. Liverpool have dropped their pursuit of the youngster after he demanded guaranteed playing time at Anfield.
Yoro joined Manchester United after clubs including Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in signing him. However, the move to Manchester was not the best for him, as he suffered a metatarsal injury during a pre-season trip to the US, which required surgery.
During his career at Lille, Yoro came through the club's academy, making his debut for the first team at the age of 16. He played 60 matches in his career and became a key player.
