Liverpool player Diogo Jota dies in car accident


Liverpool and Portugal national team forward Diogo Jota has died in a car accident that occurred in the province of Zamora, Spain.
Details: The news was reported by the Spanish outlet Marca. It is noted that the accident occurred at the 65th kilometre of the A-52 motorway, near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria.
It is also noted that his brother was in the car with him and also died.
The Portuguese national team confirmed this information on their X (formerly Twitter) account.

Jota is a Portuguese footballer, a forward and left winger for Liverpool and the Portugal national team. He previously played for Porto, Wolverhampton, and Portugal’s youth national team.
He joined Liverpool in 2020, transferring from Wolverhampton for £41 million.
Reminder: Last season, Jota played 37 matches for Liverpool, scored nine goals, and provided four assists. He helped the Merseyside club win the Premier League title.
