Liverpool may be looking to settle the score with Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold—but this time, with the transfer of Vinícius.

Details: According to journalists, Liverpool are keeping a close watch on Vinícius Júnior’s situation. The Reds are considering a move to sign the Real Madrid winger as a free agent in the summer of 2027, provided the Brazilian doesn't extend his expiring contract.

Vinícius’s current deal with the Madrid giants runs until June 30, 2027. Real Madrid have already offered the player a new contract, but the final decision remains with him. So far, neither Liverpool nor the Brazilian’s representatives have confirmed any transfer talks.

This story is especially intriguing given the recent free transfers from Liverpool to Real Madrid: the Spanish club snapped up Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konaté after their contracts expired. Now, Anfield could attempt to pull off a similar move in the opposite direction.

However, there’s still nearly a year to go before a potential free transfer. Vinícius could yet renew his deal with Real, and at this stage, Liverpool’s interest should be seen as transfer speculation rather than a done deal.
