Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool, are actively seeking to expand their influence in the world of football, aiming to acquire another club. However, their ambitions have hit a stumbling block.

Details: FSG considered purchasing Spanish side Getafe as a potential feeder club for developing Liverpool players or as a project to break into the upper echelons of Spanish football. But club president Ángel Torres has declared that Getafe is not for sale.

Quote: "No. The club has been for sale since I arrived—25 years ago. Every year there’s a journalist claiming that... and now it’s Liverpool. But the club is not for sale. One day I will leave, but that’s still a long way off," Torres told COPE.

Reminder: Earlier, it was reported that the Football Association plans to use the Community Shield match as a way to honor Liverpool striker Diogo Jota.
