Ahead of the home match against Ipswich Town in the Premier League, Liverpool have faced serious personnel losses. The team's head coach Arne Slot confirmed that midfielder Curtis Jones will not be able to take part in the game due to an injury sustained in the Champions League match against Lille (2:1).

Jones was bruised at the end of the first half. Although he was able to play until the break, he did not appear on the field in the second half of the match. The coach noted that the midfielder will miss the match against Ipswich, and his participation in the next games against PSV and Bournemouth is still in question.

"We will see how long it will take to recover. Of course, I don't expect that we are talking about months. Although it is impossible to say for sure, but for now I do not predict such a long absence. We will see if he can take part in the games against PSV or Bournemouth," Slot commented on the situation.

Liverpool also have Joe Gomez and Diogo Jota in the infirmary. Gomez injured his hamstring on December 29 in the game with West Ham (5:0) and will be out for several weeks. Jota will miss the next few matches due to a muscle injury he sustained against Nottingham Forest (1:1). This is his second serious injury this season.
