Liverpool's legendary striker Roberto Firmino moved from the English club to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli just six months ago but has managed to score only three goals in seventeen matches. Due to these unsatisfactory results, he lost his place in Matthias Jaissle's star-studded squad and hasn't seen playtime since the end of October.

Now, The Mirror reports that Steven Gerrard hopes to reunite Firmino with his former Liverpool teammates Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum at Al-Ettifaq.

Gerrard recently commented on the potential interest in Firmino in an interview with The Mirror:

"I obviously know Bobby very well, have been a big fan of his. I've followed him for many years. Right now, he's an Al-Ahli player, so it's very difficult for me to comment on that situation. But I've loved Bobby Firmino from day one when I saw him, and I consider myself a big fan."

Al-Ettifaq boasts several outstanding players, including former Manchester City striker Riyad Mahrez, Allan Saint-Maximin, Edouard Mendy, Franck Kessie, Gabriele Vieira, Merih Demiral, and Roger Ibanez. The Saudi league permits only six foreign players per team, so the sale of the Brazilian would open up another spot for them to make another acquisition.
