Liverpool identify potential new head coach

Liverpool have not been delivering consistent football this season, and the club could be preparing for drastic measures — including a change in the managerial position.

Details: According to TEAMtalk, Andoni Iraola is currently seen as the ideal candidate to become Liverpool’s next head coach, while the club’s hierarchy have been given several strong reasons to part ways with Arne Slot.

We previously reported that Arne Slot will not remain Liverpool manager next season. Despite the board earlier deciding to give the Dutchman more time, the decision to dismiss him was reportedly made last weekend following discussions with several senior players.

The legendary 33-year-old Egyptian midfielder is also said to be edging closer to a move to Fenerbahçe SK. Salah’s representatives have already held initial talks with the Turkish club’s hierarchy and, according to reports from Konur, the negotiations were highly constructive.

Reminder: The Merseyside club are being dragged into an internal team controversy on the eve of the season finale.
